A seasoned expert on tax and compliance issues involving nonprofit organizations, Ward began his career with the Internal Revenue Service in Washington, D.C., where he co-authored the first IRS course textbook on tax exempt organizations. Later he wrote Golden Gate University's Exempt Organizations Tax Law Coursebook, and has published in Tax Analyst's The Exempt Organization Tax Review.
Ward's dedication to public service includes having served as an elected trustee on the Board of Education, Mt. Diablo Unified School District and as a past member of the City of Concord's Planning Commission. |
